Learn More about the Track & Field Project
Pleasanton’s student-athletes deserve facilities that match their hard work and potential. Rather than asking voters to approve a bond and raise local taxes, our community is stepping up to privately fund a new track & football field facility.
This project is about more than athletics - it’s about pride, opportunity, and investing in the next generation. Every donation, big or small, helps get us across the finish line.
What the project includes:
- 8-lane, all-weather track surface
- Field event areas for long jump, pole vault, shot put, and discus
- Improved drainage and surface safety
- Grass football field
- Spectator seating and accessibility features
- Lighting and signage (based on funding level)
Why We Need To Update Current Facilities
- Safety concern with students leaving our campus during the day for classes (Jr. High football)
- Currently no place for outdoor Physical Education
- Current facility needs upgrades including:
- Bathrooms too small and plumbing is not adequate
- Bleachers do not meet code and need replaced
- Concession stand and serving space too small
- Crows Nest is too small
- Light poles are getting to the end of their useful life
- No football practice area
- No Track
- Good possibility we will be 11-man in 5 years
- We believe we will be one of a few C2 or larger schools without a track
